This bed is 11" high and the opening is 6" high. Most dogs enjoy the high sides. They can
put heads on it and the height blocks drafts. The cover comes off for washing

If your dog sheds, here's a product that I've found works well on most breeds.

A few breeds that are typically not good candidates for the FURminator Shed-Less
Treatment are Poodles, Shih Tzus, and Maltese.

I realize this is expensive, but it works like a charm on most Toy breeds.
